Dearest Friends,

I'm rather quite busy at the moment(as I have been for several weeks), but I really wanted to quickly stop and say hello and tell you all what I'm up to. I think about my friends all the time and genuinely worry about you, so I really hope you're all doing well....

I only have two courses this semester, but it's a great deal of work, esspecially math. I mean, I just finished a math project that took me a month to do last week, and now I must begin another. And the class is SO BORING.

Math is so preoccupying, I'm genuinely concerned about how well I'll do in German. I mean, German class wouldn't be such a worry if I thought I had all the time I needed to devote to it. I really want to do well. I came in with an above average reading ability, and a little bit more of a general knowledge of the language than everyone else(I have Anne and my years of private study to thank for this), but I really need to work harder at my spelling and pronunciation.

Of course, speaking and spelling are not my fortes in English, either, so it'll take more effort than the average person, I think, for proficiency to develop in German.

I'm just really hoping I'm smart enough to get through this year and not have my father feel like he wasted money on sending me to college.(He already suggested I drop out so I could tend the house better...)

I have a long bus ride to school, which I don't mind. There are all kinds of beautiful things to see. All kinds of shops I wish I could stop in. There is a cute yarn shop~ And the Wednesday driver is so kind to me. He always tells me how nice I look. <3

Well, I guess I've dawdled enough here. I don't really want to have to get back to work, but que sera sera....Always something more that has to be done.

Don't hesitate to drop me a little message, or a hello, or something. I like to know how my friends are, and it can really make my day.

Love to all,
Bunny

Books, crafts, knitting, the usual.

Dearest friends,

So school's started. My math class is the most boring thing in the world. D: It's like pulling teeth. I mean, I like some math. I LOVE algebra. But statistics can crawl under a rock, for all I care.

I only have two classes this semester, and I have Monday and Friday off, which is sooo awesome. <3 It gives me time for my homework(I have a project I haven't even started for math).

I just got this super video game today~ It's called Treasure World. It's so fun! Basically, to beat the game, you have to find Wi-fi signals. I found 19 just walking around my house! I can wait for my next trip to the library, and if I get to school early...

As for crafts, I'm working on a scarf. Of course, it isn't just any scarf...I think I was rather creative here. ;)

I've also been making origami stars and putting them in jars, which is pretty addictive. I love origami, and these stars are fun! I like trying to find pretty jars to put them in, but our family doesn't use clean out the jars frequently. I guess I could use one of the million beer bottles my father cleaned out that are sitting in the basement....

I'm looking for a new book(not that I have a lack of books I haven't read here....). I really want to see the sci-fi film A.I., but I don't like to see films I haven't read the book/story they're based on first. (Yes, I often break this rule, but I'd prefer not to!)It's based on a story called Supertoys Last All Summer Long. I really want to read it! I hope it's in the library system!

(As a disclaimer, I'm not usually a huge sci-fi fan.)

Last, be sure to check out Red Bacteria Vacuum. Kari and I saw them in Japantown the day before my birthday. Not only that, we MET them, and they really loved my knit toy bunny...:) They're super-cute girls, and talk like little geisha-girls, but when they open their mouths to sing, they just scream! I love them! <3

Love to all,
Bunny

An Upcoming Birthday.

Sun Aug 9, 2009, 10:05 PM
Dearest friends,

My birthday is coming up in a week.

It's not going to be a big affair this year; I'm not having a party, or anything. I may ask Mother to take me to the county fair, or Japantown(I want to buy some cute stationary!).

You probably won't hear from me from now until then. And possibly not until long after, as school starts soon.

As for crafts, I finally finished my doll for my friend Anne. I've gone back to working on a big blanket I was working on. I'd also like to knit a sheep sometime soon, as they are just such darling things...

Love to all,
Bunny

No Doubt.

Thu Jul 30, 2009, 5:27 PM
Dearest friends,

How have you all been? Good, I do certainly hope!

So, I went to the No Doubt concert the other day. The most notable thing was the popularity of one of the opening bands, Paramore. I had never heard of them, but they are apparently extememly well-loved! I'm not certain I was very impressed by them. They weren't bad, I suppose, but they didn't really thrill me.

Um, so I also now have No Doubt's entire discography, as well as all of Gwen Stefani's solo work. My music collection is now officially overflowing. (Actually, it already was, I just never took the time to admit it...)

I suppose I really don't have much else to say. Dance class is going well, I'm knitting stuff, reading lots.

Love to all,
Bunny
